If you’re a digital knowledge worker / digital nomad / digital creative who works often from the road, you’ve probably got a significant technical kit that you bring with you. These things really add up and can be a pain to move around, organize, and secure. The Tumi Tegra Lite Max Carry-on 4 Wheeled Briefcase is a great option for a mobile office. It’s hard shell keeps things safe and secure, and it’s four wheels make jaunts through airports less exhausting. But like all Tumi products, it has some quirks and is not for everybody. Read on for all the juicy details.
Exterior
The Tegra Lite Max Carry On is made from, ahem, Tegra Lite. It’s a cool, futuristic looking material. It comes in both silver (shown here) and black. The material is tough but it does tend to scratch rather easily.
Interior
Because this is a non-expandable hard shelled case, you’re rather limited in what you can carry in it. Moreover, filling the inside tends to impact the single sole exterior pocket. Like most Tumi bags, the tend to insist on including built in compartments of extremely limited utility. This is most noticeable in the exterior-access front compartment. We have no idea what people carry in some of these pockets. Gum?

Summary
The Tumi Tegra Lite Max Carry On 4 Wheeled Briefcase is a great option for schlepping around your mobile office. It holds a ton of stuff that collectively adds up to a lot of weight. If you’re used to carry your office on your back, it’s wonderful to have a hard-shelled wheeled case that makes getting through the airport much easier. And when you’re in the airport lounge, it’s easy to get access to any of your necessary tools. If you’re comfortable with the Tumi pricing premium and their somewhat goofy internal pockets, you should definitely take a close look at this briefcase.
